About Us
Taken By Steve Vallance - 17th August 1993
Our story so far....
Back in 1991, Jack Stephenson and his business partner bought some open top buses and created Shoreline Suncruisers. The popular 109 service was their first route, linking Scarborough's beautiful North Bay with the hustle and bustle of the South Bay.
We still run this service to this day!

The first three buses they purchased were ex-West Midlands KON 326P, KON 327P (see left) and MOM 573P.
In 2002, Jack's son Tom came into the business, and as such, hardtop double deckers were purchased to undertake school contracts and local private hire. During the next few years, coaches were purchased, and the business duly expanded. It was during this time that Shoreline Suncruiser Buses Ltd. was formed under the directorship of Jack and his wife Rosemary.

In 2015, Tom left the family business to pursue other ventures, and the business continued under the control of Jack and Rosemary.

In September 2024, due to Jack's retirement at the grand age of 81 years old, it was decided that husband-and-wife team Tom and Clara would take over Shoreline Suncruiser Buses Ltd.

ShorelineTravel.co.uk was created, with a view to expand of the number of coaches in order to introduce a number of excursions across Yorkshire, as well as continuing to provide local school services and, of course, the 109 seafront service!

The sole objective is to provide reliable, reasonably priced travel to our community.
